What’s new

What changed in each release of GotPrinter, newest first. The Windows app updates itself; you can always download the latest version.

Version 0.34.1 24 October 2026

Better printing

  • More PDFs print exactly as the preview shows them: damaged files are repaired before upload, and notes, form buttons, letterheads, barcodes and text in many more scripts now print.
  • Very large scans and heavy pictures are prepared on the customer’s phone, so your shop computer prints them instead of failing and refunding the order.
  • Large scanned documents preview in about 2 seconds on iPhones instead of up to a minute.
  • A PDF your printer cannot open (some kinds of encryption or pictures) is turned away before upload, with a note telling the customer what to send instead.

Fixed

  • Your shop computer keeps its sign-in safe: if it ever finds a sign-in it cannot confirm, it sets it aside instead of erasing it, so you do not have to sign in again.

Version 0.34.0 24 October 2026

New

  • Party mode: guests at an event pick photos on their phone, arrange them as Polaroid frames, Instax mini frames or a collage, pay, and collect a printed sheet from your counter. You switch it on and set its price from the partner portal.
  • The app prints party sheets on the paper size the job asks for, and uses a glossy or photo paper type for them when your printer driver offers one.
  • The Windows app now updates itself only while your shop is idle, and a new version reaches a share of shops first.

Better printing

  • PDFs print the way the preview shows them, including files that used to print blank or lose images and patterns, such as some macOS "Save as PDF" files.
  • Chinese, Japanese and Korean text prints even when the PDF does not include the font.
  • A PDF with a fill pattern too fine for your printer to finish is turned away before the customer uploads it, with a note on what to send instead.

Fixed

  • A shop whose only printer is black and white can now take party orders: the photos print in grey, at the same party price.
  • Cut marks on party and photo sheets are solid black and thicker, so they show clearly on a laser printer.
  • If a document fails to reach the printer, the customer sees a short error with details on their screen instead of nothing.
  • Your shop stays signed in after a Windows password reset on the shop PC.
  • The party page’s “Print at the counter” link opens your counter page.
