About these terms
GotPrinter is operated by {{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}}, {{REGISTERED_ADDRESS}}, GSTIN {{GSTIN}} (“GotPrinter”, “we”, “us”). By using the GotPrinter website, a outlet’s GotPrinter page, the partner or advertiser portal, or the GotPrinter outlet app, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Sections 2 to 5 apply to everyone who prints. Section 6 applies to outlet partners and section 7 to advertisers. Sections 8 onwards apply to everyone.
1. What GotPrinter is
GotPrinter is software that lets you send a document from your phone to a print outlet and pay for it. The outlets are independent businesses. They own the printers, set their own prices and do the printing. GotPrinter provides the technology that connects you to the outlet, and collects online payments on the outlet’s behalf.
2. Printing at an outlet
- You don’t need an account. You open an outlet’s page by scanning its QR code or typing its outlet code.
- You can send PDFs and images, up to 50 MB each. Some unusual files may not print correctly; the outlet page shows a preview so you can check first.
- You choose the pages, copies, colour and one- or two-sided printing. The price is calculated from the outlet’s own rates and shown before you pay or send.
- Collect your prints from the outlet. The outlet is responsible for handing them to you.
- An outlet may print one sponsored page with some customers’ jobs. You are not charged for it.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are set by each outlet, in Indian rupees, and the total is shown before you pay. GotPrinter does not add a fee on top.
- Where the outlet accepts online payment, you pay through Razorpay by UPI, card, net banking or any other method Razorpay offers. Online orders must be between ₹1 and ₹10,000.
- A job paid for online prints only once the payment is confirmed. The payment covers only the document and settings it was made for.
- Where the outlet does not take online payment, you pay the outlet at the counter.
- Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
4. Your documents
- Your documents remain yours. You give the outlet, and GotPrinter’s software, permission to handle them only to print them for you.
- You must have the right to print what you send. Do not send anything unlawful, including content that infringes someone else’s copyright, is obscene, or is otherwise prohibited under Indian law.
- An outlet may refuse to print a document, for example if it believes printing it would be unlawful. If you paid online for a job the outlet refuses, you are entitled to a refund; if it is not refunded automatically, contact us as set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- How documents travel and how long they are kept is explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Using GotPrinter fairly
You must not:
- try to access another customer’s jobs, an outlet’s computer, or any part of our systems you are not meant to;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or try to get around its security or payment checks;
- use GotPrinter to send malware or anything designed to damage an outlet’s computer or printer;
- pretend to be someone else, or give false information to open an account.
We may refuse service to anyone, or suspend an account, that breaks these rules.
6. Outlet partners
If you run an outlet on GotPrinter, these additional terms apply.
- Eligibility. You must be 18 or over and entitled to run the business you register. Your account stays pending until we have verified your identity (KYC), which we may do through a regulated verification partner. Your outlet cannot receive jobs until it is approved.
- Free trial. Once your account is approved, you get a 30-day free trial on 1 computer and 2 printers, starting from that approval. If you have not chosen a paid plan by the end of the trial, your printer stops taking new jobs; nothing about your account, your outlet or your data is deleted, and choosing a plan afterwards continues printing without reinstalling the app. We do not charge you automatically when a trial ends — payment is arranged with you only when you choose a plan, as described in Pricing.
- Accurate details. Keep your business, contact and bank details correct and up to date.
- The outlet app. We give you a licence to install and use the GotPrinter app on your outlet computer for your outlet only. It updates itself. Do not modify, copy or reverse-engineer it.
- Your prices. You set your own per-page rates in the partner portal. Customers see them before paying.
- Printing. You print customers’ jobs as ordered, hand the prints only to the customer who sent them, and do not keep, copy or share their documents.
- Refunds. You decide in good faith whether to reprint or refund a job that jams or prints badly, and give cash refunds for cash jobs yourself. A refunded job earns you nothing, and a refund made after a payout is deducted from your next one.
- Earnings and payouts. Online payments for your jobs are collected by GotPrinter on your behalf. We currently take no commission on print jobs; if that changes, we will tell you in advance. We pay out what your outlets have earned, less refunds, by bank transfer to the account you have given us. Payouts are currently made manually on a schedule we agree with you.
- Sponsored pages. Your outlet app may print approved ad pages alongside customers’ jobs, at most about one for every three jobs. Your outlet earns the share of each printed ad page shown in the partner portal.
- Taxes. You are responsible for the taxes on your own business, including GST where it applies.
- Leaving. You can stop using GotPrinter at any time by uninstalling the app and asking us to close your account. We pay any earnings still owed after deducting refunds.
7. Advertisers
If you advertise on GotPrinter, these additional terms apply.
- Eligibility. You must be 18 or over and act for a real business. New accounts are reviewed before they can book campaigns.
- What you buy. An ad is a printed A4 page that comes out at a GotPrinter outlet alongside customers’ jobs. You choose where it prints: a city, an area, one named outlet, or a kind of outlet by tag.
- Review and approval. Every campaign and its artwork is reviewed before it prints. The area manager checks the artwork against our Advertising terms and may send it back for changes or refuse it. The remedy for a refused ad is credit of unused pages.
- Your artwork. You confirm you hold the rights and consents for everything in it, including every image, logo and person, and give us and the outlets permission to reproduce it as printed ad pages for your campaign.
- Billing. You pay for a plan up front for a fixed number of printed pages. Pages printed are counted by the outlet apps and reported in the business portal.
- Unused pages and refunds. When a campaign ends, is cancelled or is stopped early, unused pages become account credit. Unused credit is refunded to your original payment method on request.
- No customer data. Ads are never targeted to individuals or using information about the people printing. We target only places and outlet types, and we do not give advertisers any customer’s personal data. Detailed content and targeting rules are in our Advertising terms.
8. Our software and brand
The GotPrinter name, logo, website, apps and software belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any right to use them except as needed to use the service.
9. Availability
We work to keep GotPrinter running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. An outlet’s printer, computer or internet connection may fail, and some networks prevent a direct connection. When a job cannot be printed after you have paid for it online, you are refunded under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that:
- the outlet, not GotPrinter, is responsible for the quality of its printing and its service at the counter;
- we are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control;
- for a print job, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for that job.
11. Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close a partner or advertiser account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to respond. You can close your account at any time by writing to {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} (default: hello@gotprinter.com).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new effective date. Partners and advertisers will be told by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use GotPrinter after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first, using the process on our Grievances and contact page; most problems are solved that way. Otherwise, the courts at {{JURISDICTION_CITY}} have jurisdiction, without affecting your right as a consumer to approach a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
